Neurophysiology
Linking synapses to behavior: decoding cerebellar computations in action
Our team investigates the role of the cerebellum in sensorimotor integration, from synaptic mechanisms to systems-level function.
We study the biophysical mechanisms underlying synaptic transmission and how they are integrated within cerebellar cortex microcircuits.
Our research focuses in particular on how these processes support sensorimotor integration in awake behaving animals.
Building on recent work, we are developing and applying advanced optical tools to probe cerebellar function across scales.
We combine expertise in electrophysiology, optical imaging, and behavioral approaches to analyze cerebellar activity from single synapses to neuronal populations in mice performing cerebellar-dependent tasks.
